OUR PRESENTER, Yuliia Svieshnikova recounts from her childhood – “When I was a child, I used to spend every summer at my grandparents’ farmhouse, who lived in a small village in Ukraine. My grandmother and grandfather had a big garden with a great variety of fruits & vegetables that my cousin and I enjoyed eating all summer and winter long… I remember that during the summer time, we only had to go to a small grocery store to buy bread (which in Ukraine we eat a lot with every meal). The rest of the food was coming from their farm and garden. Eating fresh, organic & grown with love and care fruits & vegetables as well as being raised in a country where home-made food and a tradition of eating together taught me love and appreciation for food. I love cooking and am very happy to share my passion and knowledge with anyone who loves food and likes trying new things.”
