Farmers’ Market Food Access Programs
Sustainable CAPE increases the affordability of local foods through our Bonus Match Program for SNAP, WIC and Senior Discount Coupons, the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP), Project Gratitude for veterans, and Fresh Kids’ Awards for local schoolchildren. Our Farmers’ Market Coalition assists farmers’ markets across the Cape & Islands in implementing, operating, and funding these food access programs. Read more…
Harvest Highlight Program
Sustainable CAPE purchases local produce and protein in bulk and delivers it to community kitchens from Provincetown to Orleans. Cooking workshops and newsletters “highlight” the local farmers, fishers, and their harvest. Read more…
